Back by popular demand, this time a mid-week program of FALL and WINTER foods- my favorite!
This program is geared towards beginning cooks, as well as those with kitchen experience, both wanting to learn more about how to apply the traditional principles and techniques of Ayurvedic cookery in their kitchen and daily life. Winter is the time for enjoying warming, cooked foods like hearty greens and root vegetables, whole grains and legumes, flourless baking, and nourishing tonics. We will cover winter cookery and pantry set-up with key Ayurvedic foods and spices for staying vital and bright through the winter season. The program will also present daily self-care practices, ayurvedic digestion and nutrition basics, and take-home recipes and techniques for preparing Ayurvedic meals at home without a lot of fuss.Participants will be encouraged to roll up the sleeves and help out in the kitchen, applying the techniques, using the tools, and trying the tastes of the dishes we are creating. Participants will also be learning and practicing ayurvedic practices for self-care throughout the weekend.
